Engvall’s Splinter
Don’t know if it’s continued but many moons ago I can remember a team from Jersey or Guernsey would play in the Somerset Cup or something similar. Should you get an away tie against them, they’d put on your travel over to their ground. With team spirit and the social side of amateur football very much at the forefront, we’d often be desperate to get them in the draw. Anyone know the team name? Cannot for the life of me put my finger on it.

When I was at Stockwood Green we drew them away but had to win the prior round match first. Pretty sure we lost and thought we’d missed out on an away trip. Later found out it was BS and hadn’t drawn them at all. Recall that @Shuffle?
