David Bryant has gone to the great green in the sky aged 88.

Considered to be England’s finest ever bowler.

I played against him many times. He truly was a magnificent player.

Not a real expert on Bowls, yet if anyone asked me to name a Bowls player I would recall him - sleep well Sir

I agree, I couldn't tell you any other bowls player.

I'm guessing I picked up on his name as he was so local?

RIP

David Bryant was born and raised in Clevedon and lived there his entire life.  His first club was Clevedon Promenade before moving to Clevedon BC.

He was a fantastic player and his world championship wins is amazing.

I played against him many times in league matches over many years. I can’t remember ever beating him.

A nice chap off the green with a very distinctive voice. He could remember every great shot he ever played.......

Sadly he developed Alzheimer’s in later life and was rarely seen in the last few years.

Chadwick Boseman star of Black Panther has died aged 43.

Absolutely tragic. It proves it doesn't matter how fit you are, how young you are, how much money you have for treatment, the horrible disease can get us all. The sooner we find a cure for this the better. I'm in total shock this morning.

Am I right in remembering that he played with an unlit pipe in his mouth?

Former England and Northamptonshire all-rounder David Capel has died at home at the age of 57 after a two-year battle with a brain tumour.

Capel, who won 15 Test caps and played in 23 one-day internationals between 1987 and 1990, was diagnosed in 2018.

Dame Diana Rigg dead at 82.

FFS 2020, enough now. Please.

She played Emma Peel in the Avengers way back in the 60s. Very attractive, some would say beautiful women in her her prime.

Never ever found out if she was telling the truth, but I remember my mum telling me years ago that Diana Rigg was some distant relation of hers. I've always maintained it was true, so this one is personal. Well, sort of.
