New Year Fun

Recommended Posts

As we approach the new year and the next transfer window I've indulged in a bit of fun. The game is to build a balanced squad of 23 players consisting of 3 goalkeepers and 20 outfield players. However, there's a catch. 3 players (and only 3) must be from the current City squad, while the other 20 players are to made up of one player from each of the Premier clubs. Players on loan count against their parent club.

Below is a starter which I'm sure can be improved upon. Good luck.

Goalkeepers: Nick Pope (Burnley) Kaspar Schmeichel (Leicester) Martin Dubravka (Newcastle)

Defenders: Matt Doherty (Wolves) Cedric Soares (Southampton) Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool) Chris Basham (Sheffield United) Tyrone Mings (Aston Villa) Adam Webster (Brighton) Aaron Creswell (West Ham) Max Aaron's (Norwich)

Midfield: Josh Brownhill, Han Noah Massengo, Niclas Elliasson (all Bristol City) Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City) Abdoulaye Doucoure (Watford) Ryan Fraser (Bournemouth) Luka Milivoievic (Crystal Palace)

Forwards: Tammy Abraham (Chelsea) Marcus Rashford (Manchester United) Son Heung-min (Tottenham Hotspur) Alexandre Lacazatte (Arsenal) Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Everton)
