FA Cup 4th Round Draw: City or Shrewsbury v Liverpool (Live on BBC1)

Recommended Posts

That could be a season changer. All those under performing players. A couple coming in knowing they have a crack at liverpool if they do well. LJ must be pretty pleased. Not to mention SL.

Yup 👍

I’d rather see us put the effort into our excruciating league campaign thanks.

If we play a full strength team in the Shrewsbury replay, my ST will go in the recycling bin 👍

Each to their own. If you feel like that and we win . Maybe you could offer your ticket to someone on here . Thats of course if you’re season ticket isn’t in the bin

When will we know for sure when the game will be played? IF, and big IF we beat Shrewsbury I'm hoping for a Monday night fixture as in Paris for NBA game and not back til Sunday evening. I think though lady luck might not be on my side.

I can’t believe some of the arrogance of City fans here talking about the Liverpool game as if playing Shrewsbury in the replay will be easy.

supporters are trying to buy tickets already.

To be fair our team in the first fixture was hardly weak.

What you want Bristol City to lose . Very strange

Nonsense.

If you can’t get excited about a huge FA Cup draw then it’s time to call it a day and find another hobby.

We haven’t played Shrewsbury yet ladies.

And if you’ve sat through the last 5 home games like I have, you’d be ******* joyless too mate 👍

People getting excited. That's all. Be a good day if we do get through but let's be honest it's only going to be their kids.

So all those moaning buggers who have been saying how crap the football has been at Ashton Gate will now be desperately scrabbling for tickets, assuming that we get past Shrewsbury!

Nobody here - that I've read - is suggesting it will be easy.

Of course. Doesn't change the fact the football has been crap.

My thoughts exactly. Anyone who has watched the last 7 games wouldn't even open their mouth about Liverpool unless we get through the replay, there is every chance we won't - I'm quite sure Shrewsbury will be up for it too. But no, everyone is giddy with excitement on Twitter and elsewhere, talk about tempting fate.

It do'esnt sound like arrogance to me. Most don't feel confident about the replay. As for trying to buy tickets ? The requests seem to be coming from Plastic Liverpool friends.

Anyone who goes regularly to watch the crap football at Ashton gate won't have to scramble for a ticket.

What happened to success breeds success ? We need something to get our momentum back for a strong finish in the league and this might just be it to get both the team and the fans going.

I'd put our chances at 50/50 (of winning the replay), albeit our chance of beating Shrewsbury has probably improved as our minds will be newly refocused.

From liverpool forum

They’ve lost a few of their better players since then. Saw them earlier in the season and they were shite. They do t really have much creativity or pace. They have a big lump of a centre forward and Ashley Williams at the back. Kasey Palmer once of Chelsea is their most creative player. They do have Andreas Weimann so we’ll have to score two to win though, that ****** always scored against us!

Just got the first text from an 'old friend' enquiring about tickets. When this happened in 2017 for the Man U game I offered to meet them at our next away game, Sunderland, to discuss. Strangely they couldn't make it.

On this occasion though, I'm inclined to refer them directly to the Shrewsbury Town away tickets page.

Better off referring them to Shrewsbury's home tickets if they wanna see Liverpool

Yep...I will! Assuming, as you say, that we get past the Shrews...which on the basis of the recent crap football is hardly a foregone conclusion!

Surely we can forgive people for getting excited by the prospect of a game against the European Champions no less?

I’d say that’s a pretty human response and doesn’t necessarily mean anyone is assuming anything about the Shrewsbury game.

Hope the players are as gutted as us fans for missing out on playing the best team in the world....but I doubt it. Good luck to Shrewsbury, they deserve to be playing them not us after Saturdays disgraceful showing. Pathetic.

If and it’s a big if having watched Saturdays game ,however if we do play Norway’s favourite side in the next round then go to red and white Kop forum and see what the arrogant scallies are saying about their chances and ours!

I think some have forgotten that night at Anfield 26 yrs ago.

ah well probably won’t happen but here’s hoping for a repeat of my favourite night ever of watching the city- coyr
