Today's matchday squad for the Women's FA Cup. Looks like a regular WSL first team squad, and it's great to see Meaghan Sargeant back again!
Game isn't being streamed anywhere, so I'll have to keep an eye out on Twitter...

Turns out I needed to charge my phone while watching the Formula 1 this afternoon, so completely missed on all updates, including the fact that Brighton did have a stream of the game after all, but that this wasn't announced until during the game itself.

Did hear about the penalty, and how disputed this was. Just seen the reaction from Matt Beard, who said that the game was even, but then the referee defined the game...

City Women had a training session at Robins High Performance Centre.

Not sure if a one-off, or if the team will be moving there soon from Stoke Gifford

I would imagine that it was a one off to boost the team before this weekends massive game against Villa.

Good to see Pearson attended too

There were plans for the women to move to Failand originally had it not been for Covid...

I hope so. Especially if the men's academy team, who were also at Stoke Gifford, are moving there.

In a recent episode of The Ladies League, an Australian fan podcast which featured Ella Mastrantonio, she confirmed that the women were due to train in Failand where the men are, but because of Covid, teams still had to stay seperate

Massive relegation battle/six pointer today!

Villa (11th) v City (12th); KO 12:30pm, live on FA Player.

Same starting XI from last Sunday against Brighton in the FA Cup.
Meaghan Sargeant's first WSL game of the season.
Laura Rafferty returns to bench after missing last game due to being on-loan from Brighton.
Ellen Jones returns to bench; Izzy Cook & Maisy Collis dropped.

I am nervous & excited in equal measure. COYR

The women will get relegated this season thank god the mens season has only 2 games left another 5 and they would be gone aswell

I'm starting to lose confidence as well, but the rescheduled games of Birmingham v Villa & Arsenal v West Ham are on Wednesday. Will be interesting to see how those results would affect the table and if it would make it easier for City in their next two games

Birmingham came back from 1-0 down to Villa tonight to equalise at the last minute

It was the 96th minute again for Villa to conceed. To happen two games on the bounce must hit confidence if they're hanging on in the next two games

Table hasn't really changed, we'll still need to win at Brighton

Probably just been treated as a strong rumour for now, but there is some consensus that after this season, Matt Beard will be appointed the new manager at his old club, Liverpool, who he won two WSL titles with.

Personally, I'd rather he stay at City (and not have Tanya come back). Regardless if City get relegated or not, I'd be surprised if he were to head to the Championship, as I'd have thought he'd want to stay in the WSL.

Thats a shame but rather lose him to Liverpool than let's say, Mansfield
