BanburyRed
Not sure if anyone saw the coverage of this RL match between Leeds Rhinos and Bradford Bulls at Headingley. Heartbreaking to see how Motor Neurone disease has grabbed Rob Burrow already, since his diagnosis in 2017. Dannny McGuire, Kevin Sinfield, Jamie Peacock etc for Leeds, actually testimonial for Jamie Jones-Buchanan but proceeds split. Showing true sportsmanship and compassion. Moving to see Barrie McDermott reduced to tears and lost for words. Respect to all those who gave their time to support Rob, and thoughts to Rob and his family fighting this evil disease. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/51083508

Admin phantom Posted November 27, 2020 Admin Report Share Posted November 27, 2020 Not sure if anyone else is watching but what an amazing pre game display that was, a 25 year montage Great use of seating not being used and projecting some really iconic video footage onto the seats, along with the words projected onto the pitch Very powerful footage of Rob Burrows too Now to enjoy the final
Admin phantom Posted November 27, 2020 Admin Report Share Posted November 27, 2020 What an ending to the grand final. For anyone that didn't see it. With 50 seconds remaining with the scores level, Wigans Hardaker lands just short with a penalty on the half way line. St Helens run the ball back upfield and literally as the full time hooter sounds indicating the last play in the game, Makinson tries a drop goal from just inside the Wigan half. It hits the post, but the ball then bounces back over the bar and St Helens' Wellsby sneaks in to touch the ball down

Amazing.
