Bentley

Hunt

Moore

Williams

Dasilva

Nagy

Smith

Eliasson

Pato

Brownhill

Diedhiou

Brownhill in the middle behind fam or wide?

Wide right, pato central otherwise there’s no point playing him imo

Then no he’s wasted wide right pato is better off there, it also mean him and nic can switch throughout the match making it harder for Barnsley’s fallbacks to defend

So would I.

But I doubt LJ would.

We can hope for a 4-1-4-1 which he may go for with Nagy closing the lines between defence and midfield and Paterson in a forward role closing up the lines to Diedhiou;

                       Bentley

    Hunt Williams Moore Dasilva

                        Nagy

Weimann Brownhill Paterson Elliasson

                      Diedhiou

I'd have Watkins on the right if fit as that partnership with Hunt looks solid.

Right now, I couldn't give a F who he sends out.

The way I feel I'm not sure it's going to make any difference

But I live in hope we discover some form and kick on

No he meant unstoppable,

i rate him highly and have defended him a fair few times but he could do with a rest

ans the shape Eddie suggested is what we should be playing

I think he gets away with it from the fans because he does run a lot . I don't see the point in him

I’d prefer to go with something like :

Bentley

New RB - New CB - New CB - Dasilva

New DM

New RW - Palmer - Massengo - Eliasson

New ST

edit. Ok a bit harsh. A fit Kalas and a fit Baker  and there’s no need for the 2 new CB’s.

I believe RB is our weakest link at present and think Barnsley had a decent LW up there? If they dont have, this is a decent guess at how we'll start.

Interesting stats say we convert more chances than WBA and most others so surely we just need a lot of service into the box. Simple game isnt it?

Stuck with that for another 364 days at least, felt the 100 plus page thread for a player we didn’t get deserved to be recognised!

You`ll be buggered if it all does a U-turn and he does sign after all.

Is Hunt fit or injured?

The only current injuries appear to be Kalas and Baker.

Smith and Massengo recovered.

Makes me laugh on here when someone can't bring themselves to criticise one of their favourites they instead say 'he could do with a rest' 😂

Ta, so something like

Bentley

Hunt | Williams | Moore | Dasilva

Eliasson | Brownhill | Nagy | Paterson

Weimann | Diedhiou

Bench (7 from):

Maenpaa or Wollacott

Pereira

Smith

Massengo

Rowe

O’Dowda

Palmer

Semenyo

Morton

Hinds

(Wright assume will be at Sunderland)

Have I missed anyone?

Literally just lit up a game playing on the left against Wigan. Looked to give us proper balance when he played on the left of a 4 as well.

Oh, is that all Weimann does?! Whilst scoring the same number of league goals as Fammy and contributing more assists - he’s the best ‘footballer’ we have ...

He (Weimann) probably needs a rest as he regularly puts in twice as much effort and work rate as the rest of the team combined - it’s difficult to appreciate that from a tv or iPad or iPhone or PC screen ...

I can see him running at the games or on TV. It's what he's good at.

He's runs a lot, but so do others.

On the left drifting in field. He can certainly do that role effectively and suits an attacking left back like Dasilva attacking the space.

Smith must start instead of Nagy, poor again against Shrewsbury, talks of needing and op so why play him to become our weak link?

bentley

hunt

moore

williams

Dasilva

elliason

smith

Brownhill

pato

weimann

diedhou

for me, the only way to go and hopefully get a early goal!!

We need enough "box entries" and "the stars to align" to win this and of course the correct studs for the grass length. Add in the rub of the green and being the right side of the fine line and the jobs a good un.

We had good enough squad of players to beat Shrewsbury they werent managed well enough so we didnt, our fate on Sat is down to one man although he will deny that until the day he dies.

massive game for Johnson. it is a must win. Defeat and he i.m.o will be gone. the fans will turn on him. so he has to pick a strong attack minded team and go for it. coyr

A defeat on Saturday won't be the end of LJ, not a chance he will be sacked while the top 6 is a possibility.

I rate the player however I think he needs a break.

He’s lost his sparkle a little bit but when on form he’s capable of scoring, assisting and wearing out the opposition defence with his movement.

He is yet another player who suffers under LJ , I am not sure he knows the lad’s best position or how to use him to the maximum of his ability despite his best goal scoring season last season and looking on course to breaking his record this one .
