They're currently 6-0 down to Man Utd with half hour to go.

They're singing and making noise as if they're 6-0 up.

Fair play to them.

They'd look a right load of chumps if they were all pissed off about it. The gulf is ridiculous these days and everyone accepts this.

Very true, but you also couldn't blame them for sitting there looking dejected and making little/no noise.

You have to remember that Tranmere are in the bottom 3 of league 1 and the Manure squad are worth more than all of their players and ground and the potato crop they get from the pitch! ...:yawn:I do love the FA cup

To paraphrase the mighty Pythons;

`How do you know he`s a Premier League player?`

`Cos he hasn`t got shit all over him`

Just watched highlights …. I found it refreshingly nostalgic to see an old fashioned traditional muddy English winter Football Pitch... So good to see it again instead of the perfect 'snooker table' pitches we've grown used to in recent years …

Something nice about imperfection in football, inc the bullshitty VAR …  nowt wrong with a bit of mud on a football field or a controversial human error wrong decision now and again..

Surprised how poor Fulham were? Joe and Bobby didn't cover themselves in glory.

Harsh considering they were down to 10 after 6 mins.

Sorry, forgot that. They just didn't seem to be the same players as when City played Man. City. Joe could have got sent off and Bobby didn't seem to have a clear role.

Gary Lineker and Co commented more than once how they enjoyed watching a game without VAR at Shewsbury, or words to that effect

Will they use it in the replay at Anfield?

I think the ruling in previous years was that it could only be used if both grounds were able to use it.

Then again that could have been for two legged games in the Carabao cup. Pretty sure because Ashton Gate didn't have the infastructure for it against Man City, it wasn't used for the game at the Etihad either.

So in short - I don't  actually know :kiddie:

Most fans in the same position would do the same I reckon but good to see

Not sure I was singing when Tranmere went 6-0 up against us in 1989/90...

I loved old Dave - God rest his soul - and look at that Baseball Ground pitch as Leeds trudge off it ... a proper football pitch!

I share your pain.

Not one of my better evenings out following City.

Absolutely lashed it down as well if memory serves. Worst trip back home I can remember.

I didn't make it home until the next morning. Went on the piss with some Everton and Liverpool fans. Had a great night despite how shit City were. Slept in a train carriage in Lime St overnight.. Good old days..

Now this was proper ‘70s football at the Baseball Ground! D’ya reckon today’s show ponies would have relished this?! 😄🍷
