The rugby one has taken about a year I think? So I presume it'll be ready back end of next season maybe?

It’s not a big project in reality, weather permitting it should be complete for spring/summer 2021

We don't own everything in that shot though - some is BGS playing fields, some is firebrands hockey.

ah I assumed it was everything that looks dug up... but yeah maybe it's not all connected to us.

I assume it's being built by Beard? same guys building the Bear's ground - and the same company who recently paid for sponsorship of the Atyeo netting.

Yep, their name is advertised on the fencing facing the road - didn't realise they're doing the Bears complex. That looks very impressive.

Thanks for this, made me dig out the pictures. Forgot how much I like the design. Here are the pictures for those who want a reminder:

The construction company have some smart looking case studies on their site - did the Brunel museum at the SS Great Britain site.

I'm intrigued/ confused why the announcement was made today?

These works have clearly been going on for months already

We have a new stadium, a new training ground is being built and we're challenging for the playoffs and looking to sign players to help us win now.

Sack everyone involved in this shambles.

Lets celebrate when we are in the premier league, or have achieved something.

At the moment we're still playing catch up to many other teams

Normally happens in the building trade, breaking ground ceremony takes place after the enabling works have been complete and before the main works start,

just a publicity/piss up normally

Building a stadium and training ground and establishing ourselves as play off hopefuls in the championship IS achieving something.
