Leeds United v Bristol City Match Day 33

🤣

What a plumb

Hope Lee has a 'plum B'  for the second half.. :)

(if we have wind advantage, maybe a speculative few long range efforts might not be a bad idea... a ball swerving around in the wind might just catch out a dodgy Leeds keeper... ** is it gusting up there? )

**sounds 'dis'gusting first half. but only one down so all to play for.

Which part do you disagree with?

sold for a pittance ✅

arguably best right back in league ✅

didn’t do anything at Cheltenham ✅

Very lucky to be only 1 down, we have looked a bit better since COD came on for woeful Weimann.

Leeds just seem so much more organised than us. Need to do a lot more in the second half to have any chance of pulling this back.

So I can't say an opinion you disagree with then Dave 😂

Everyone mainly poor but Weimann been a problem in not showing for the ball. At least try and do the right things which most of the others at least are trying to do.

No, you’re right Jon, but you do seem to target him in virtually every game.

Think our best chance of getting something from the game is the last half hour when we can bring Fam on. Keep it tight and edgy till then and we could nick something.

Still in the game. Leeds a good outfit , obviously, but they only got one goal in front despite their dominance. They can leak goals as we have seen. Getting anything away at Leeds is a good result. Game on.

Fair play for your comments, you seem to know what you're on about

Most important is shots on target and that’s 4-1. Not great but at least we have managed 1! Hopefully Leeds will tire a bit in the second half plus a possible opportunity for Palmer to come on and show what he can do?

The commentator disagrees with you.

The commentator can say what he wants but when the corner flag is at 45 degrees towards our goal , to me , that indicates that we’re playing against the wind .

LJ will say the squad has sickness issues, but it’s the classic “square pegs in circular holes” scenario and people are being played out of position. With fammy out this was the perfect chance to try Palmer/Patto behind Wells but by trying to force Kalas & Baker back in hes confused the team and it’s another game where we look like strangers who have been thrown into a football match! 45min to go but if we don’t start to hold back up top (and generally all over) we won’t have any chance to get something out of this game

Think LJ has decided on one of his tactical aster classes again. It’s Leeds away with terrible weather the tactics really should not be as complicated as we’re making them look. Keep it tight and break.

Seems Owers scratching his head re the way we have been set.

why oh why is Kalas playing as a RB.  Bonkers  square pegs round holes.

What a player we let go in Luke Ayling. In addition to his goal he's been involved in everything positive for Leeds. A heck of a footballer IMO

Just think he shouldn’t have goaded loyal City fans who backed him 100% for years. He could have celebrated with less vigour.

It's normally easier playing against the wind.

Well, it’s still only 1-0. That’s the only positive out of that half. It was always going to be a hard game but I feel we’ve given Leeds a little too much respect.

I haven’t seen anybody make a challenge.

Stats at half time look a bit uneven...  still, the wind though!

Earlier today Forest had one shot on target (in the 91st minute), scored twice and got a point away.....this is the Championship, we are Bristol City.....anything can happen!

I think it's called the White Flag formation. Can we afford to take off Eliasson and go for solidity? I say sub him for Hunt and Rowe for Massengo and go 3-5-2.

Because he's poor in nearly every game. Not going to not target the ones that I feel are worst.

I said many positive things about him when he's been good.

When he had the ball on about 10 mins i shouted he will lose it, he won't use his body to hold it up. And that's exactly what happened.

I think Johnson has got this horribly wrong. But Weimann for me seems to actually lack effort with what he wants to do with the ball or where he wants to receive the ball.

I take your point. But I think he’ll be thinking more about how he was treated by the current regime. I wouldn’t have toned it down with that in mind, would you?

It’s all part of the fun for me, the pantomime of football, any fan who takes this sort of thing too seriously needs to have a word really, I’m sure Luke doesn’t!

Don’t think this is a game to play Palmer. He’s quite often made defensive errors in the past.

I’m really hoping he comes on and shoves those words down my throat and play a blinder.

Kalas regularly played RB at Fulham and 'Boro.

They have just been better than us all over the park. Stronger, first to the ball, pace and purpose with it, hard working and not giving us half a yard without it. Not sure we have actually done that much wrong, we have worked hard to keep our shape in defence after wave and wave of attack, but just not getting a sniff offensively.

Kind of feels just a question of ‘how many’ already, but Leeds have often it seems been in this exact position and screwed it up this season so, fingers crossed I guess.

To be fair, if all other results were to remain the same, that would limit the damage of today's result whatever happens.

At least if Weimann is injured and out for a while it'll give the boo-boys a chance to move on to their next target.

My money's on Massengo.

Our one shot on target was a very weak header, was never going to be a goal (if it was their keeper would be being investigated for match fixing!)

I think he’s made his feelings clear about Bristol City every time he’s played against us since.

Yeah agree and the longer it stays 1-0 with a big crowd they will get nervous- I’m clinging on to whatever hope I have
