Second City Exile
Now unable to attend a fixture which has become a bit of a tradition (friends in Nottingham, one of our Midland matches) in recent years. Mother's Day too, and a 3.00pm kick off, which complicates travel arrangements. I know that it will suit some, but not us. Money talks....

Could’ve easily picked a game where the two teams were very close...
RoystonFoote'snephew
It's hardly a shock though as a real rivalry has grown up between the sides. I can see the attraction for Sky showing a resurgent Forest who sit in the in the play offs against City who are hovering and are seeking three wins in a row at the City Ground. Does the away side need to give consent? Odd to do so for just that. Already paid for advanced train tickets to this fixture, usual liberty by Sky Sports. Didn't a politician propose a law recently about refunding train fares if TV moves games. It's about bloody time.

Here you go: https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/aston-villa-tv-money-leeds-16034227 Despite Sky being broadcast partner, TV money in the EFL is far less than in the Premier League. Championship clubs chosen to host matches are awarded £100,000 per game - unless it’s played on Sunday (£120,000) or Thursday (£140,000) - while away teams collect a fixed fee of £10,000. In line with the new Domestic Broadcast Agreement with Sky Sports coming into force from the beginning of the 2019/20 season, further amendments have been made to the TV Selections Policy. The date of rolling selections commences on 7 February for matches from 7 March onwards. The central solidarity payment to each Championship club was flat at around £5 or £6m. So the clubs that were on TV a lot with all the inconvenience that comes with received next to nothing for the privilege.
