125 Anniversary Shirt - Swap?

Wow how embarrassing.

An anniversary shirt - 125 years is a massive milestone and many will not see 150 and certainly not 175.

Thousands should have been sold in theory but the reality is one person was given too much input and not enough opinion sought and ended up producing an utter piece of shit that clearly performed so poor on pre-sales that they stopped production at 600.

It could have and should have been the final yet best shirt produced by Bristol Sport but alas ..... !!

According to GmcG, 476 shirts sold…

From The Post:

The shirt proved to be divisive with City fans and heralded like "marmite", according to the chairman in the club's official podcast last week.

The social media reaction to the shirt was generally negative, though Lansdown explained to counter that the shirt was, "the fastest selling pre-order" the club has ever had, with more than 50 per cent sold. Reception was also said to be better on the club's Instagram account rather than on Twitter or Facebook. (Basically 300 shirts)

And Bristol Live has now learned that the sales figures of the celebratory shirt, as of Monday, stood at 476 - although the club disputes this figure.

To add some context, the club announced that their record number of shirt sales was 15,121 for the 2018/19 season, obviously covering several kits and a much larger period of time.

From JL in The Post:

“It’s a labour of love really. We’ve got nine elements of one kit, and if you get one element wrong it's going to ruin the whole thing. It was a few backwards and forwards to get each element of it right.

“I’ve followed the club for a long time and it's something I care about."

There is more interesting clothing in the rag bag at work, a hotchpotch of 9 old kits thrown together with BLUNDER across the front is not at all interesting, nor was the display of of past players! What idiot decided to put them all in a corner, invisible to 2/3rds of the fans and unheard due to the rubbish tannoy system which has been unfit for purpose since day one - god help us if we had a real emergency and had to rely on the tannoy to live!

Well, thanks for the help all....

The popular opinion on here is the shirt was pretty naff. If only 600 were sold, there won't be many on here that bought one, and even less would have bought a large that now want a medium.

I would think many bought them as souvenirs and not to actually wear.
