Mr Popodopolous
Thread is just about PL but good news. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8393549/Championship-clubs-pay-rebate-worth-7million-new-deal-broadcaster.html EFL will only need to rebate Sky £7m and have 10 extra Championship games next season- bit of a coup all things considered? Something tells me Harvey wouldn't have pulled it off- indeed the repayment is over 3 years so not bad at all!

PL rebate of £170m deferred until the 2020/21, so do the clubs in the division this year pay it or any team who wins promotion next season is unlucky and has to help fork out? Yep, good point- read 2021/22, but anyway it's deferred whether it's 2020/21 or 2021/22. I wonder if clubs in receipt of parachute payments maybe affected, have to pay back a %, to chip into the overall rebate. Would only be fair IMO... It would have to be the current ones surely - they`re the ones that have signed up to it. Bit of a bugger if we went up and immediately had to front up a load of cash to Sky - 7th anyone and wait till next season?

Yesterdays Liverpool derby was just weird, as good an example of why the season should have been scrapped as you will see, an awful exhibition, imho!
