What do we need for the final piece in our team puzzle

Recommended Posts

In my opinion we still need an 8 out of ten  central midfielder, someone to boss the show every week.

What can anyone come up with, must be affordable to the club has to be a class act.

Would probably help us if we actually played a proper midfield shape ie a central 3 or some version of it.

Think we've had quite a lof the right pieces in CM...but not necessarily the correct structure to put it into practice IMO.

A new manager and  22 signings. The current set up will never take us to the PL. But more important - the same backing LJ got.

I think the fact that we are unbeaten for weeks and I cant see us dropping points for a long time tells you all you need to know.Until when/if the season starts again of course.

Back to topic, depends how we want to play, if its 3 in midfield, then sell elliasson, get a top right wing back, and a top midfielder.

thats assuming elliasson cant be switched to rwb.

obviously no one knew what happen with the season closing down, but henriksson was out before the season stopped, they are all on large wasted salaries, but his must be about the worst out of the current batch.

See where we are when all this is over. My experience is that there is never ‘one final piece’, it’s the season when the squad just click, find form and confidence, and work as a solid unit.

We are not winning though. Or playing entertaining football.

I think we are both lightweight and lacking creativity in mid field.

I would like to see an "enforcer" in mid field who breaks up play, wins tackles and is a presence.

I had hoped that Palmer was going to be that creative player but it doesn't seem that he is.

I think we have a strong defence and good wingers. Our strikers should be ok if Wells can start firing like he was before we signed him.
