Hannah Reid's voice is still something else. If you've not heard them already and you like London Grammar then you should def check out Bristol band Elder Island. Port Said Red
Really surprised at how good this band is. https://princessgoestothebutterflymuseum.com/music.html I am always wary of actors getting into music, but I am really impressed with Michael C Hall (Dexter) on this. I didn't realise that he sang musical theatre and played the lead role in Bowies Labyrinth stage musical. He is clearly a fan and you can hear the Bowie influence, but it's not derivative at all. Favourite track so far is Ketamine.

They're very much an Isle of Wight band but I'm fairly certain the singer used to live in Bristol and was at the Louisiana regularly.

TonyTonyTony
There seems to be a bit of a 90's Indie renaissance going on at the moment with new bands - which is fine by me. Keep your eyes on these boys
Vespa Red
The Wet Leg album is indeed a belter. Waiting for my Bug Club vinyl to finally arrive (Caldicot band, 2 members of which went to school with my eldest). Also looking for to the new Fontaines DC and Hawkmen albums, both on vinyl order.

And Its Smith
New Arctic Monkeys album out today. Listened to it a few times already and definitely a grower like TBH. Better listening with good headphones as well. Anyone who didn’t like TBH won’t like this though and seen many annoyed comments on social media. Generally very positive reviews from music media
internetjef
That new AM doesn’t scream great stadium show material ha bit like the last album. Good in its own way but prob prefer them to drop a load of bangers off the old albums live

They'll still play all the "oldies".
PHILINFRANCE
I rarely listen to new music, but have recently heard a ‘new‘ cover version of The Proclaimers‘ 500 Miles. It is sung by female artist, and I find it absolutely atrocious. I assume it was also released in the UK (some time ago?), but does anybody on here have a view about it?
