Erithacus
Always liked Dave Edmunds' version of the Elvis Costello track Girls Talk. To come up with better than Mr Costello takes some doing. But my personal favourite is Talking Heads' cover of Al Green's minor hit Take Me to The River. With covers it's a question of either reproducing it in a similar manner or a completely different take on it and Talking Heads did the latter brilliantly. The versions of AATW by Dylan and Hendrix sound like 2 completely different songs, but both brilliant in their own way.
