Or a bit of Boney M

Digge ding ding ding digge digge ding ding
Hey di, hey di, hoh (repeat x4)

If we're going down that road, I give you the opening 2 lines from "I Zimbra" by The Talking Heads: "Gadji beri bimba clandridi, Lauli lonni cadori gadjam"

Actually used to have that on "The Name of this Band is Talking Heads" live album.  Don't remember those opening lyrics though, but was not a great lover of that track in comparison to a lot of TH stuff.

As my only contributions so far have consisted of 2 totally gibberish (Quantum Jump and Boney M) and one full of expletives, (Ian Dury) so its about time I put forward some more appropriate opening lines.  Here goes:-

You know your problem, you keep it all in.

They paved paradise and put up a parking lot (one of the very few songs that have exactly the same starting line as the final line).

Dirty old river, must you keep rolling, rolling into the night?

I've been in this town so long that back in the city I've been taken for lost and gone and unknown for a long, long time.

When the rain is blowing in your face, and the whole world is on your case.

People try to p-put us down, just because we g-get around ( is this the only first line with hyphens in it?)

I get no kick from champagne, mere alcohol it doesn't move me at all

I'm nothing special, in fact I'm a bit of a bore, if I tell you a joke, you've probably heard it before

Every breath you take

When you're weary, feeling small, when tears are in your eyes I will dry them all

Have you seen the old man in the closed down market, kicking up the papers with his worn out shoes

If a picture paints a thousand words, then why can't I paint you

I met her in a club down in old Soho where you drink champagne and it tastes just like Coca Cola

Her name was Lola , she was a showgirl, with feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there ( bit of a clever seque there!!)

The world is just a great big onion and pain and fear are the spices that make you cry

You could hear the hoofbeats pound as they raced across the ground

Just a castaway, an island lost at sea, another lonely day, no one here but me

Mel & Kim's Respectable wants-a-word:

Yes Ha-ha, ha-ha-ha ......
Hey man (hey man), Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha, Hey man (hey man)
Tay, tay, tay, tay, t-t-t-tay-tay, tay, tay
It's our occupation, we're a dancin' natio-ion
We keep the pressure on every night
Explanations are complicatio-ions
We don't need to know the where or why
Tay, tay, tay, tay, t-t-t-tay-tay, tay, tay

Oh, is this the way they say the future's meant to feel?
Or just twenty thousand people standing in a field?

Saw earlier this was released 25 years ago today. Magnificent song.

They do it down on camber sands, They do it at Waikiki

She unscrews the top of a new whisky bottle.....

I never thought it would happen with me and this girl from Clapham.....

The Indians send signals form the rocks above the pass, the cowboys take positions in the bushes and the grass.....

A couple more of their beauties.

She was frigid like a bible when she met her boyfriend Michael.

I bought a toothbrush, some toothpaste. A flannel for my face.

Don't worry Major, because of the virus she will have to post it back to you.
