Robbored
My neighbour has an old Galaxy android and is struggling to install WhatsApp. I’ve logged him into my WiFi but its still not downloading. Is that because his phone is android?

Yeah more than likely if he's on an old android version it'll be no dice.
Nibor
Make sure the galaxy is up to date, i.e. run any android updates it is telling you about. You can find this in settings - search for "update". That will get it to the latest android version that can be run on that device. Then go to the Google Play Store application, type WhatsApp into the search there and try and install it. It will tell you if the android version is too old, WhatsApp works back to android 4.0.3 which is from 2011 so may well be supported.

His previous WhatsApp was installed when he was in Spain but has since expired. He wants the latest WhatsApp installed but as his phone is pretty ancient that’s probably the reason why he’s not able to do it.
