I feel like Famara in the kit with a contract would have been done if he had agreed a new deal. I don't think this is a good omen.

Kit's nice though.

I got a feeling he'll sign but it'll be slow news now until the champ starts so they'll sprinkle the slow news in when they can

Who gives a ****?

Cringeworthy the way they drag it out each year, it's a football shirt.

Anybody above the age of 16 that wears one to games is very questionable.

As others have said, more interested who's in the kit.

Amazed that the author of this thread

Can call anything cringe worthy tbh...

It's a lovely gesture, albeit ruined by the 8 so large on the back.

Hats off to Bristol Sport, when faced with the semi-credible threat of a large scale boycott, they pull out of the bag a kit that a majority of the fan base will feel 'obliged' to buy

Cynical but probably true Steve.

Very positive reaction to the kit on twitter but am I the only one who feels a bit “meh” about it?

It just looks pretty unremarkable to me. And not dissimilar to 15/16.

Nope. It's meh. It's a red shirt with an obnoxious sponsor and an unavoidable shit club crest.

It's not ugly, not awful, but it's no classic.

It's also got the same error in the flags in the collar.

That’s pretty much my thoughts. Someone on twitter described it as our best kit ever! I don’t get the love for it....it’s fine but ordinary.

I think this is just a lesson in the art of the possible.

As for the sentiment for the Ashton Gate 8, not sure I'm buying it to be honest.

Yes. They did rip up their contracts which meant the club could be saved (for which they were given settlements and a benefit game).

But equally, most continued to earn a living from the game, albeit a compromised living. So whilst I don't blame them for signing the lucrative deals they were offered (blame the board for that), in the main we ended up at the foot of Div4 due to players under performing.

Am I grateful to them? Yes.

Are they untouchable heroes? No.

They were partially responsible for where the club found themselves however.

Which is why I don't quite get the worship.

Nice touch with the names and their faces in the shirt.

Love it to be honest, some really nice touches there.  Fairplay

In my opinion this is a very nice shirt and the AG8 is a touch of class and unique to any other clubs kit

i don’t usually buy a shirt but I may just make an exception this time!

i hope every player who wears it this season fully appreciate and understand the sacrifice the AG8 made and wear this new kit with pride

I think the new crest is class.  I love the circle around it too.  I'm the opposite to people, I think the robin on its own is awful.

I didn't love it on release, but thought it might grow on me. It's just really not done that. When I see it on TV or the web next to another clubs crest I invariably think that ours looks crude, childish, and simply not like a crest for a football team.

Just my opinion and I'm not angry about it.
