This Crawley chap. Seems he’s not even a City fan and has literally zero historical connection with the club. Previously worked on Swindon local papers and at Cheltenham Town.
If they’re gonna just stick an employee in there, who knows eff all about our history, you might as well just stick a fan on there. Ole, Exiled Robin, someone from OSIB, anyone who could at least have some kind of emotional connection.

Agree, I'll defend Toby Osborne but Crawley was pretty useless. Just the vague cliches of football spouted again and again.

Personally I don't think I'll bother with the build up hour again. Thought it was a vacuous hour of safe questions and tedious fan "engagement" which was really just there to thinly veil adverts for Bradenton, kit sales, crowdies, and anything else the club is flogging. The best bit was Joe Sims, and as an actor I'd have thought he could turn his hand to a bit of presenting. See if he wants to be more involved and get him, a fan, plus an ex player on to actually analyse or give some insight into the line up and club activities over the preceding few days. I don't expect Sky or BBC levels of coverage or impartiality but if they are going to charge £10 per game and carry on this expanded coverage next season then it needs to be improved.

As it appears that very few people had issues with the stream perhaps a shout out to @JerrySLO is in order for working tirelessly over the past few days to sort out fans` problems. I understand he`s been unjustly getting a lot of grief on social media (not on OTIB it has to be said) for problems that are out of his control so fair play to him for just getting on with it.

Agreed.  Well done the club too.  My stream worked well (bit of a rubbish picture from EW, but not sure that’s their fault) and I hope it did for other people.  They did a professional job.

Agreed and fair shout to Jerry, as after the start we had on Wednesday, I fully expected this forum would be in meltdown after the game.

Technology and me aren’t always the best of mates, but after a right mare on Wednesday, everything worked faultlessly today ..... shame we couldn’t say the same about the team!!!

Thought the overall production was good.  Shame the performance on the pitch didn't match up to it.

Only minor gripe is that when I inadvertently paused the stream, I couldn't see a way to catch up to live other then logging off.  ?

It looks like it’s the feed from Blackburn is not HD. The Robins TV overlay looks HD to me.

It could be what City are doing to the feed to put the overlay on though. They used to have a problem of ruining the quality of Sky Sports coverage. Whenever they show action from Sky Sports games in our double season the quality is crap and have this over saturated look to it.

The test shows weren't 1080p either. It's all only been 720p.

Click on the button that says 'live' will take you back to the live view.

Given the 6pm kick offs next week, is it possible to pause the live stream, and if so, for how long?
Ideally, I could get it logged in and then pause it for 2 hours and tune in at 8pm!

I did hear the word “scrub”, which to me means you can go back.  I’ll ask Toby for you.

You can definitely pause it, just finding out whether 2 hours can be done

The whole thing was so cosy, from those two happy clappers who dare say anything critical or don’t have the football insight to be able to, to Gary Johnson as the pundit who won’t criticise Lee, and then Lisa Knight’s PR spin.

Agree. It would be nice to hear a little realism or some analysis at least of formations and players.

Obviously we're never going to get the level of criticism you get on here or with your mates in the pub. RobinsTV is a Bristol City product and so you're not going to see Lisa Knights in a "Johnson out. Midget" t-shirt or hear any of them slag off Kasey Palmer for not running enough.

However, unless they tone down the advertising, improve some of the line up analysis, and employ people who actually specialise in presenting, then I'm not bothering with the build up hour again.

Think you need a combo of commentator and player / pro pundit not two media men....no disrespect to either.  Toby does a good job, but benefits when he’s got a Hunt or Smith next to him.  They are very knowledgeable co-commentators...and also although bound to be a bit biased on ref decisions, tend to be honest re our own players.  It’s not gonna be easy for James Crawley to fill that gap.

Good lad Dave ?

Might be worth a test v Sheffield Wed.  Watch it in sky whilst pausing it on another device.  I might try the same, but might forget.

Agree Smith was fantastic. Had intelligent and insightful things to say and I remember him saying things like "that player knows he can do better" or "oh come on that's not the pass". Not out and out slagging off, but not exactly glowing praise. He also gets genuinely excited when we score or do something good.

Kalas is also great. Wonderfully dry sense of humour and more than happy to call out players.

Obviously I'd never wish an injury on any player...but when Crawley trots out his 12th "it's almost a mini season" of the match I may find myself wondering.

Don't worry. I'll text you the score as SOON as the game is over, so you'll know if it's worth watching or not.

*evil laugh*

Ha ha. Mate, you know that won’t work. You are fully aware of my propensity to not read messages for about 2 days!
