Woodgate out - Warnock in at Boro!

Weird this, I mean he’s so brilliant according to many on here that I expected sides very near the top to be queuing up to employ him.

Instead this sad old ****** takes over a team in 21st place, level on points with a side in the relegation zone.

Strong senior management, wish we had some. Well  done Steve Gibson.

They’re propping up the table and we’re two points off the playoffs, ridiculous comparison.

Do you honestly think SL wouldn’t have acted if we were where they are right now?

Sides very near the top and challenging would be unlikely to make changes surely ?

The sad old ********* nearly always makes the self publicist top "young" coach of ours look a **** every time they come up against each other .

What's makes a man in early 70's, who's had a decent managerial career and no doubt financially sound leave a stunning home in Cornwall and move to dreary Teeside!

In what way does the team in 21st appointing warnock end our (already pretty much finished) play off hopes?

At least they can guarantee promotion next season where we cant

Your chairman should have snapped him up even if it was for just one season

Don't forget we once had Pulis at AG. Which subsequently gave us the same guilt as if we employed Fred West to build an extention...

Didn't Warnock - at one of his former (northern?)  clubs - only travel up for training on a Friday? Or something like that? Leaving the day-to-day stuff with his coaches? Commuting from Devon or Cornwall anywhere outside the SW can't be a daily thing obvs and surely he;s not gonna live in an Hotel during the week? Although, if he does, I hope he takes his big plate with him.

Sides near the top sometimes have their managers poached, don’t they?

We have won 2 of the last 3 games against his sides..

The only way LJ  is going to get poached is boiled for two minutes, simmered for another two and served on some nice deli style crusty toasted bread washed down with apple juice ( natch )

Cardiff are Boro’s last home game, the next one after us away. Boro could have a big say on the play offs at this rate.

Just to add to this Boro still to play Millwall as well, big say on the play offs still

Genuinely intrigued to see how he does.

He's got eight games to turn it round but the speed those games are coming at doesn't give him a lot of time to impart his ideas and drill the team on how he wants them to play. Massive challenge for any manager coming in to work with a team for only a month.

He has nothing to lose and has respect in all football circles. Some how he makes things click and lets the players play that is in bread within and the he gels them into a team of quality. Football might be sh&$te but the results are good. He gets under the noses of other managers  that gives his team a one goal advantage either home or away.

There's some lovely countryside very close to Boro to be fair.

The guys a proven winner within the lower leagues ans can understand any club offering him a job as he knows how to build a squad and get them motivated. Yes there would be some lovely countryside around Boro but does he want the stress at his age when he had previously said he was finished in management
