Vanarama league suddenly back to life

Playoffs still going because a side will be relegated from EFL, it's Stevenage but the EFL are appealing against Macclesfield's point deduction so it could yet be the latter.

Anyway due to the demise of Bury, the 2nd place still needs deciding and behind closed doors playoffs is deemed to be the fairest way.

Great news as Bath are my 2nd team. Not seen them get beat this season and rolled up with 2000 others at their final game before lockdown at Hungerford. They play some great stuff and have always had a good association with City taking many players on loan and a permanent basis.

Sadly I still come out in a nervous rash with any talk of going to Twerton Park from the early 1990's

I’m involved with Bath City Youth FC and we have stumped up £500 to sponsor City loanee Sam Pearson for the Vanarama play-offs.  Without voluntary donations Bath City would have found it almost impossible to afford to take part in these play-offs.

Chester are my "other" team and they're in the same boat. They had to think long and hard about whether they could afford to take part and it's only been possible thanks to the players and coaching staff unanimously agreeing to basically work for free (they were all either furloughed or only under contract until the scheduled end of the season in May). They launched a fundraiser to cover costs, where supporters could donate the cost of what they'd spend on admission, pie and pint, buy a cardboard face in the crowd which will be signed by the management, plus a prize draw to win hospitality, signed shirts etc and have raised £17k so far.

Did I see that when Bath were fundraising they had offered coverage of this match too as part of the deal?

Any indication what is happening about that?

Put some of my s/t refund into the fund. I think that gets me a link to the stream of the Dorking game. Hope they don't have a pre-match show!

At 4pm, Bath City welcome Dorking Wanderers to Twerton Park and Gateshead travel to Brackley Town.

“This pioneering streaming service will create an opportunity for exposure of the competition on a global stage.

“We would like to thank existing partners BT Sport and Sportradar for their support during this process.

“The announcement adds to the already growing excitement that play-off action brings.

“To ensure a safe environment for National League play-off matches to be played in, we urge supporters to not congregate at the grounds”.

Due to the current Government sporting guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic, all play-off matches will be played behind closed doors.

Good luck to Bath City on Sunday in the Play Off eliminator against Dorking Wanderers. (KO 4pm BT Sport)

2 young City players  currently on loan there - Sam Pearson & Owura Edwards. Also other players with CIty connections such as Frankie Artus.

You could always stroll along the aptly named "Freeview Rd" just behind the ground...someone will possibly let you watch the game from the window of their flat for a fiver...that happened to a few of us many years ago when City played the Gas..the blokes wife even went out and got us some cider at halftime ??

Louis Britton as well?

Is it on BT, can't see it on the tv guide and Bath's website says he can be streamed here https://events.sportradar.com/en-int/page/vanarama-national-league-play-offs

According to their website Louis is no longer at the club, and yes it would appear to be a streaming service hosted by BT & Sport Radar.
