So just to be clear, you’re throwing your toys out of the pram based on precisely zero actual information and entirely your own presumptions about what you think you know, but actually don’t, yes?

I am a senior data analyst specialising in predictive risk statistics do I should have a reasonable grasp of things.

But no actual knowledge of who has been interviewed, considered, rejected or shortlisted? Wouldn’t those  things help you with your “predictions”?

Perhaps certain managers are not committing and holding out to see what happens? Only a few people will know the true situation... and I bet that's no one posting on here!

Absolutely , so far today it’s Terry , so we get massive abuse about that’s the end if this racist gets it etc , then the Cowleys , massive abusive about them too based on what two and two making five ?
While this is going on Hughton is getting a coffee in Membury before hurtling towards Bristol , truth is no one really knows Jack shit , time will tell

Dithering and indecision by this club has once again shafted us. Pathetic

We could have offered the job to CH a week ago, but he turned us down because his agent told him of other jobs in the offing with premier league clubs or at clubs with parachute payments.

He might have demanded a transfer kitty of £50m to overhaul the squad and bring in top players, whose wages would bust our budget and breach ffp. Should we agree  just so as not to appear indecisive and dithery?

5 years ago SL was roundly criticised by many on here for appointing LJ without a full application process and considering  a host of other candidates that were interested in the job. That was a decisive action by the club!

Spot on PSR. Its easy to judge and get worked up from outside - ultimately unless a lot of info suddenly comes out we won't know how ambitious we have been in pursuit of a new manger. CH does stand out as being the most qualified in many ways but he could have been offered the job and delayed, he could have asked for the £4m he was on at prem Brighton as his wage here, he could have said he needs £x million to do the job if that figure is outside of FFP then its not necessarily lack of ambition that doesn't get him. He is an excellent candidate but there are also tons of reasons outside of lack of ambition that could lead him not to end here.

We’ll be going lower league / cheap again is what I’ve heard - Flynn, Lowe, Holden et el.

Hope I’m wrong. ?

Absolute joke. Why get rid of Johnson then?

Wants premier league football but constantly goes for the cheap option where it actually matters.

We have zero idea what the club is doing. If they land a credible person then they did a thoroughly professional job and some people will look daft.

On the other hand they could be royally **** ing the process up which wouldn't be a shock either.

The owner needs to get it right so should have brought in outside help to do so.

The ultimate decision will show if the owner is serious or not.

This is kind of what I mean its not necessarily the cheap option is it? We could pay CH £2m and spend 500k on players. We could appoint a flyn, cook type on 500k and spend £2.5m on plays which os the cheap option? Which is most likely to get promotion?

I'm not saying those are the figures, just saying its not a clear and simple thing. We are a club that abide by the FFP rules and that does mean we have some restriction, that doesn't necessarily mean a lack of ambition and its the reason we are unlikely to end up in freefall again.

Yes but that was because LJ was an unproven lower league manager who had never achieved anything. Remember Ashton telling us about the quality of the candidates who had applied and we ended up with LJ.

I think some of you should stop making things up in your head, then believing them to be the truth. Just chill for a bit.

There are some on here who seem to live in a permanent state of panic, anger and on the verge of a meltdown.

It can't be healthy at all.

Ryan Lowe now the odds on favourite with at least one bookmaker.

Something in that I'd imagine. Been/being interviewed perhaps?

It could be they have taken a few large bets on him and therefore that would reflect on the price........

I’d be happy with Ryan Lowe

Done a top job at Bury and Plymouth. Also just lost his top player at Argyle, as Sarcevic wanted to move back North. Not sure what else people can want from him - if he's sold the board with his presentation, I'd take him. For him, he'd probably just want some stability after two years with those teams.
