I'd like us to look abroad rather than the overpriced rubbish available in this country. Specifically I'd like us to look closely at Germany. Most recent imports from there have been very successful and have played an exciting brand of football with high pressing and pace.
Admin Maesknoll Red Posted July 5, 2020 Admin Report Share Posted July 5, 2020 A winner, someone who backs his players in public, someone who entertains when he can, but shuts up shop when necessary. Someone with a shrewd eye for a player, who will build a structure and framework that players from the academy, reserves and first team can move between levels within the club and understand what is expected of them. Someone who appreciates flair, can manage the odd Maverick, will entertain and restore some bloody enjoyment to watching City..... Someone who will stand his ground and not be dictated to by the Chairman, owner or Mark Ashton - whilst working with them. Someone who drags Lee’s tombola out onto the pitch and has a public burning..... And finally, someone who is so successful, we are constantly afraid he is going to be lured away by a bigger club. Redrascal2
Someone who can put out a team that will not be bullied and physically outfought by the opposition. And make us a team again where whatever the result they will have a tough game against Bristol City.

A manager who can instruct his team how to preserve a lead with minutes to go, and on the flip side can instruct his team to apply pressure at the end of a match when there is a goal in it. A manager who intelligently varies dead ball situations so that we might gain an advantage when scoring during open play is difficult. A manager who works on simple mistakes during training sessions so that we don’t get caught out again. A manager whose style can stretch teams enabling us to get inside of the 18 yard box and make it count. A manager who doesn’t think that spending 65+ minutes tapping it across the back line is good possession football. A manager with an equally influential number 2 who knows what is required to make certain areas of the team stronger. A manager with experience of challenging / taking teams up into the Premier League. A manager then?

The Dolman Pragmatist
Someone who will give young players a chance. Someone who will win over the fans with expansive attacking football and make Ashton Gate a place where away sides rarely win. Someone who makes football fun again. Someone with a bit of personality. hertsexile
It’s Chris Houghton for me proven Manager ver vast experience. A good fit as gives young players a chance also knows how to deal with player egos as has worked with some world class players. So for me no brainer
