Lez
Someone on another thread mentioned Steve Coppell and his short spell here, I guess no one really knows why he left so soon. Either way he did the same thing at Man City. Below is a really interesting read. http://purelymancity.blogspot.com/2013/12/the-monday-mystery-why-did-steve.html?m=1 Some interesting points including his health, his assistants having no idea it would happen, and the spontaneous nature of decisions. One of life's great mysteries I guess.
havanatopia
Not really... I think he just likes Thailand too much. Health came unstuck down there I read somewhere.
Isawjonshaw
His tenure here was a disaster.
harvey54
Horrible memories of the home game v Millwall and being 3 down just after half time? Absolute mare
Mr X
I went to a pre-season game under him at Torquay and they were hands down the better side.
Sleepy1968
Whatever happened Steve Lansdown interfering with signings couldn't have helped. I mean flapper did give me a great memory of punching a useless cross to the edge of the 18 yard box (the edge of the box I said) into his own goal against his first professional club, so there was that. Fantastic times.
