RoystonFoote'snephew
There is a, rumour circulating that McAllister has reigned. I have no knowledge of whether this is is true or not but it made me think about or current coaching set up. Given the likely financial constraints caused by the pandemic will the new manager be expected to work with our current coaches or will he have some leeway to bring in his own team. Everyone keeps talking about a Manager, but Lee Johnson was Head Coach and that’s significantly different to a manager. I really can’t see Lansdown wanting upheaval behind the scenes so I suspect that the new man will be expected to work with existing staff. That said, it’s interesting that Dean Holden has been put in sole temporary charge, rather than him and McAllister jointly, and I wouldn’t be surprised for McAllister to not be part of the setup (maybe following Johnson to his next job). I think that a candidate’s willingness to work with existing staff may be a clincher.
Mendip City
I thought it odd that Holden was named caretaker and no mention of McAllister with him or assisting him. I think it needs a new broom - all the assistants go and let the new man bring in his team.
Port Red
My understanding (from someone at the club) was that McAllister was always LJ's man and Holden was much more highly regarded elsewhere in the club. As such it doesn't surprise me that McAllister may have resigned. Holden has been linked with Manager jobs elsewhere and so must have something about him, I wouldn't be too upset if he were to stay. Holden has previous experience as a manager (Oldham) and has been on the coaching staff at both Oldham & Walsall. Unless he left us at the same time as LJ he was always going to be the one to fill in based on relative experience. Know nothing about the Jamie Mac rumour, but Wednesday will show if it is true or not.

Wolf Island
No doubt one or both of Holden and Macallister will follow LJ out the door soon enough.

Allardyce always has Sammy Lee with him and Warnock has Blackwell with him for example I daresay that when LJ gets another club he’ll be on the phone to Holden and McAllister to join him. BetterRedthanBlue
I I'd say McAllister will probably go when the new manager/head coach is employed but Holden has been linked with a couple of lower league jobs this season so I think he may stay on in the whole coaching setup. cider hoss rules
I think if this video is any sort of guide, then Dean Holden will be the one to go...…… he hasn't got his initials on his coat, I can clearly see JMc on McAllisters jacket. If that's not a sure sign then I don't know what is.

Depends where he ends up, I doubt Macclesfield could afford either of them, LJ would probably only get offered the job if he was prepared to double up as kit man
