Cook & Terry have chucked their names in the hat

Terry was seeing the EX girlfriend of a player after she had moved away from Manchester and returned to London. The EX girlfriend herself made that clear. Her EX boyfriend could'nt get over the fact that they were EX'S.

But media darling Rio Ferdinand just got a measly 45k fine calling Ashley Cole a choc ice and he is never vilified.

John Terry a great player but don't see anything that would make him a good fit here

Similarly, Frank Lampard's past indiscretions are never mentioned either.

Do we really have to condemn a man for the rest of time just because of one fling?  There wouldn’t be many people in employment if that was the case.

I’m more worried about whether he’d be a good head coach than what his moral compass was ten years ago.

My son knew him from his Nottingham days and gives him a good character reference.

I do not want this type of appointment at City though . We don’t need a media circus and we do need an experienced head coach who has made his mistakes elsewhere and can give us a clear , confident stewardship .

It'll be a much lower profile,,profile name......

And one that Steve can handle.

He's calm,, measured,,speaks well & handles himself impeccably,,played top level including international..with potential to take his managerial career to a higher level with backing.

And Steve will note is reasonably priced...

It's gona' be.....

Our Nigel.

No matter what you think about John Terry as a person or a potential manager - as a premier league / international centre half he was absolutely brilliant, awesome, gave everything, body on the line every time, loved his club, loved his country ... 100% commitment on the field of play 100% of the time ...your post is a bit disrespectful, with all due respect ...

Imagine today's England team with Terry and Ferdinand at the back...
