cider hoss rules
The other thing that needs to be stopped, as it is blatant cheating is the 'good yellow for the team' kind of booking. The deliberate ankle tap, shirt pulling on the halfway line as the forward is about to break clear those kind of fouls. You see players making genuine attempts to tackle and either mistiming the slide or just getting beaten by a bit of skill and that usually ends up with a red card and 3 game ban. I'm talking about the no attempt to tackle or try and play the ball, usually the miscreant knows they will be getting a yellow as they throw their hands up and just walk back to line up to defend again. Clutton Caveman
What does it matter when most referees dont have the guts book divers let alone send them off. A few years ago they had the right to march a free kick 10 yards forward if the other team showed desent. They never used that either Only way to end diving is to have a panel of ex players and ex refs who review the incident after the weekend and have the ability to impose a punishment
