Martin Allen - nightmare

15 years ago maybe. Recall it was between him and Gary Johnson for the job. GJ got it and first game away under GJ was against Martin Allen and Brentford. Ended a 3-2 win for City, with an awful pen from Wilkshire and that dodgy gold/turquoise away kit.

Woke up this morning in a proper bad mood, thinking we had appointed this dreadful individual as manager. Actually had to check it was not real!

Not sure about dreadful individual, maybe not the manager we want but definitely a good character to have in football.

We even had Guy Madjo in the starting line up.

Wilkshire scored with a brilliant free kick. Mad Dog had a head fit and threw his Brentford tie onto the pitch!

I find him a lot more likeable than either of those guys.

Yes same here and although a bit of a hard nut he actually had a warming personality and wasn't out to be controversial on TV etc like the other two. I never realised he managed Gillingham which must have been interesting with their chairman
