Shocking treatment, they're an absolute basket case club atm and he kept them up, should have been allowed to at least start next season and see if with a pre-season, whatever summer window we get etc whether he could have got them off to a good start.

If that's the case then Huddersfield would wait for the compo instead of sacking them.

Just reporting what they said. Maybe the new club has reached a deal with Huddersfield already. Who knows.

5 live suggesting they have a new club lined up.

Can't see it, this implies they let him go, anyone looking to appoint would've paid compensation.

“However, we have made this decision in the belief that, in the long term, it is in the best interests of the Club as we move forward. We have a different vision for the way we operate the Club, and how our ambitions can be achieved.”

ALSO

'The Club are not seeking applications for the vacant position', Huddersfield definitely have someone lined up....

Been found wanting in the championship with that squad should have had a bigger bounce.

Not really given a fair crack though.  Kept up a distinctively average side with the odd decent player

Apparently the club has a similar vision as SL . A head coach and Danny Cowley wanted total control over signings.
Does this impact us in chasing a new man ?

I would imagine it would narrow down what we can go for

In the time they've been in charge they've been 17th in that 'form table' 2 points behind 13th place in the time period, they took over with the club in 23rd after 1 point in 6 games and an objective of just keeping the team in the league (Huddersfield statement says so) so their strategy for points was probably just pick up enough this season to stay up and then potentially change style etc over the summer/pre-season when they had a chance.

17th? With that squad? Not surprised at all they have been fired.

Another pair to throw in the hat . Just been sacked

I'd rather throw them out the hat.  I don't think appointing a manager who nearly relegated an ex-PL club with parachute payment cash, would send out the right sort of signal.

Its not a great squad compared to usual relegated prem sides and in Jan they were only able to sign Stearman for cheap and got a few loans in. From being the position they were in and an absolute basket case they should have been given a summer/pre-season etc to see if they could start next season well, very harsh to not get that.

A few on here saying they wouldn’t want him with us . Genuine question , why?
Not saying he would be top of my list either. He did a very good job with Lincoln, even though it was non/lower leagues . Did a decent job steering Huddersfield away from trouble.

Don’t really know how he sets his teams up though.
