Sweeneys Penalties
How many screwed up seasons are we due? Covid 19 bit this one, it may bite next season too. The World Cup in 2022 starts in November.....when will we ever see a normal season again?

Pezo
I think next season will be impacted over winter as there will be another spike. Following that we should have pretty good herd immunity and things can get back to normal.

Vital to add heads and keep squad players like Rowe etc

Currently only 10% of the population at most has antibodies and even then we don’t know whether or not that equates to longer term immunity. Vaccination is the only way that we will achieve the levels necessary, without many thousands of more deaths. 48 minutes ago, ExiledAjax said: Honestly? 2023/24 should be ok. Seems about right. T Cells are key. However, yes. I don't think herd immunity is even a thing minus a vaccination. Who knows. 2023/24 should be the usual. 20/21 will be effected hugely no doubt. 21/22 might be normal. 22/23 season will be effected by the world cup. Notbarrymanc
The aviation industry is projecting a 3 year prolapse and a reestablishment afterwards at 80% of precovid levels. I would expect football to be similarly affected. Until there’s a vaccine we won’t see gates above 30%. Once the vaccine is fully circulated (probs 1 yr after market entry) we go back but who knows what the new norm will be

It doesn't quite work like that, due to to the fact we already have some immunity (the 10% you mentioned) then those people aren't going to get infected so rather than a 2 month extreme high its going to be more like 5 months with a shallower peak. They also know how to treat it much better now. Yes there is uncertainty around long term immunity but if we're waiting for vaccination then you will likely be waiting for 5 years after they have found the vaccination until clinical trials are completed.
