Wow just how underwhelming is that?

No ambition there, surely if they really wanted to get straight back into the prem, they would have employed an experienced manager surely?

Or, because it isn't us, it's ok?

No it’s a very odd appointment. They have money and wouldn’t be short of suitors. The difference between their appointment and ours is that they didn’t set fans expectations and didn’t take 5 weeks.

Suspect finances driving a their decision.

If you read what Bournemouth fans are saying they are just as annoyed as most of our fans are.

Difference is we sacked LJ because we needed an upgrade. Bournemouth have gone down and don’t necessarily need a better manager in a weaker league. They can afford to take that non-gamble. We really need to kick our feet from whatever football we were playing before and I don’t believe the answer is inside Bristol City...

Now we know who has been getting down to Bournemouth beach these last few weeks.

Are Bournemouth fans crying like babies as well?

It’s a different scenario at Bournemouth, they had a manager who resigned, his club were punching well above their weight.

Our manager and one of our coaches have been sacked, this because those two and the other coaching staff were doing a shite job.  It now seems as though only two of the three were not good enough, the other one was a top class Championship coach all the time, but no one realised it?

Ah, the Scooby Doo ending. Lets see who you really are! Anyone know if Holden ran an amusement park?

Nice try, but at the end of the day it is a Championship club (like us) appointing their deputy as manager.  A lot of clubs will be considering this in future until the economics of coved 19 are worked out.

I still don’t believe the answer to improved results is inside city. Rather kept LJ over Dean. It’s an opinion.

Not an easy job for Dean at all. Fans want more! If finances were an issue we wouldn’t of gone for Stevie G

Will all those clubs set fan expectations high, allegedly court Steven Gerrard and interview Chris Hughton (who’d want good money and a decent transfer budget)?

Covid is a convenient excuse, but clearly it hasn’t really had an impact for us considering who it’s widely understood we’ve looked into.

They'll also need to back Holden with a couple of signings too otherwise they’re setting him up for a fall.

What if we're closer to the £39m loss limit- exacerbated by Covid- than we realise? Not just now but moving forward.

I mean at least they've only taken a week or so to get to this point.

Could be indicative that people like Hughton and Cook are the ones massively out of touch with the reality of what clubs can offer them in "these uncertain times".

Perhaps the days of big managerial appointments, "warchests" and a free rein in the transfer market are gone, or at least paused.

I'm thinking this is possibly the case. Maybe managers will need to adjust, at this level certainly- perhaps Howe was shown some projections for the season and balked.
