Jon, they can't obviously. My point which you have appeared to have missed is that by updating everyone with a simple progress report they could have prevented some of the hysteria which has manifested itself on here and on their own post for the last few weeks. A media team is exactly that, putting out relevant posts and information. The total silence apart from a few player related posts is what's done the damage.

Take your point Jon, but remember, this isn't a tin pot one man band company(really!!) - This is (meant) to be a multi million pound company with all the relevant CEO, managerial and secretarial appointments that go with it. The media team should have been briefed accordingly (as opposed to being briefed to say nothing) from the top to put out a managed series of briefs, tweets and posts. There is simply no excuse for how they've handled this sorry affair. Irrespective of who the incoming incumbent turns out to be.
