Sure is but that must have been their plan straight away, not waiting 5 weeks, saying we need a new outlook and then taking on someone with less experience than who we just sacked

Not disputing any of that! Just pointing out the fact...

GMG said a number of analysts have also now left the club.

@Harryhas suggested the analysts are not, shall we say, well regarded in the game iirc.

All this could point to clipping Ashton's wings or simply moving to an agent-led process, much as Arsenal seem to be doing.

Having a so-called super agent as de facto DoF certainly worked for Wolves, though they have a top coach, which helps.

This sounds like Benny all over again. The first run of bad results, DH goes out of the window and Benny (or someone like him) takes over!

True, but Ward got udls promoted before Benny took over. I'd take DH getting us promoted and then relegation from the PL by the DOF who took over. at least we'd have parachute payments to fall back on.

DOF, Ralph Rangenick? Wouldn't surprise me if we went European.

Likes the high press & winning of the ball back asap..

Top bloke & would be a stellar appointment & no way would be 2IC.....

Yes please ☺️..not likely though I fear.

Hope (against hope) all this shite has been smoke & mirrors!

Presumably an old boy who knows the game inside out but really doesn't need the "stress" that goes with matchday and day to day coaching of the club. Literally there to give advice when he thinks it's needed or when it's asked for?

Sounds like your average contributor to OTIB.

Sounds like Gregor knows more than he is letting on if he believes someone exciting is coming in to help

If appointed, looks like Holden could be  “exciting”......

New chant “ Holden says wave your legs up in the air"

Does beg the question if no experienced manager from all the applicants ‘fitted the structure’ what was the bloody point of going through all this?  Our structure is so unique no one else need actually apply...and we are royally screwed if DH does not work out.

Yep. If we’re cost cutting, there’s definitely a couple of the analysts we employ who are not particularly well-regarded. One in particular, if he finds himself still employed after this I’ll be amazed (although he is ‘one of Ashton’s men’), so.....
