Looking at things more positively... A big part of this new commercialised thing we have going on at the club is social media engagement... the social media team must be hitting all sorts of engagement records atm... no doubt we will be smashing the comments record too on the new announcement post with all the mayhem... Every cloud and that right guys....

 right?

guys?

As Ashton and the Lansdowns prepare for this pointless press conference and pat each other on the back, do you reckon they have the slighest notion about how totally pissed off and alienated most fans feel?

If they do know, they don't appear to give a toss.

The disconnect between the board and fans has never been wider.

This will be where Gregor can really earn his money by asking some difficult questions and making them squirm.

If he’s been invited, that is. And not been given a pre-agreed question he’s allowed to ask by the dictatorship, sorry, board of directors.

He better do. He knows full well the fans anger at this.

I'd imagine Gregor can word his questions in a diplomatic way.

For example, instead of asking "what the hell have you guys been doing all this time?"

You ask "Can you give us a picture of what the five week process entailed?"

Or instead of "Hughton was clearly the best candidate, why did you end up with this mug"

You in fact say...

Actually, sod it just ask that.

And if it's not successful.....I hope that it gets so toxic down there Lansdown has to sell up

We will never get to the Prem whilst he is at the helm

But we won't go bust and have to start again in the Downs League. Ask Wigan, Charlton, Blackpool etc if they would like Mr Lansdown as owner.

6:15 for 6:30 start....didn’t know they had drinks and canapés at a press conference.

They don’t with cheapskate City. It’s bring your own peanuts and a bottle of water

Imagine how incredulous the fans would be if we'd taken 5 weeks to appoint Lee Johnson's assistant!

Thankfully, all is well at Ashton Gate and we're about to be given a fresh dose of optimism for the season ahead.

Chris Hughton (or Paul Cook), the city of Bristol awaits you!

To misquote Kevin Keegan, I would love it if it was anyone but Holden just to shut up all the people moaning for the last 3 weeks

I think most people would welcome ABH Anyone But Holden) and would gladly take a small minority shoving some humble pie in their gobs

We wont, once MR L has spent all his money on the ground and surrounds we will have Chuck the Yank as our new owner. It's called PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT.

People are starting to see through him. About time.

This latest move is just so blatantly bad.

Tinnion - I get it. City legend, and I could understand why you may give it a go

Millen - again, we knew it was daft at the time but on the back of Coppell....I can see why he may have wanted stability

but this time. When the club is all geared up on every front, and probably the most attractive proposition it’s ever been....to then go for this management team

**** him. **** Bristol sport. It’s like staying with a bird just because she buys you lots of nice things , but the reality is....she doesn’t give you any of the things that’s really important

Well, Dave Whelan got Wigan a bleeding long way further up the football pyramid than SL has managed with us, though it’s clearly gone mammarries up in recent times.
