He's played in midfield, is good on the ball and showed after the restart that he can attack quite effectively.  Would rather have a specialised RWB but in the absence of one I'd say that defensively he's far better than Hunt, and offers a decent attacking outlet.  I don't think it's much of a stretch to see him moved out there.

Its about endurance and work rate to get up and down that touchline with nobody in front of you though. I don't think his style points to that, or will offer enough in the final third. The defensive aspect isn't as important at wing back, which is why Jack Hunt suits that position far more than full back. Certainly Vyner shouldn't and won't start over Hunt as a wing back if they are both fit.

Vyner has always struck me as an athletic lad.

Physically very impressing, being able to cover a touchline for 90 minutes is a different story I would say. Have we seen anything from Vyner to even suggest he would be considered as a wing back?

Only glimpses in those final few games....against Stoke and Preston he moved to RWB as a result of subs to Hunt and Pereira.

Obviously would like to bring in a natural.

In all fairness to him we haven't seen enough of him to make that call either way. You could very well be right, but I've a feeling we may find out either way. I'm not convinced Holden is a fan of Hunt. He certainly wasn't a first choice at the end of the season.

Baker all day long for me. Touch wood he played a hell of a lot more games last season and he was our best defender by some way and leads by example.

Well said that man, stand out candidate and gets so much stick about these injuries it’s a joke he plays the game full on and gets injured by leads by example our best defender and one of the best in the division we’re very lucky to have him.

How on earth people are suggesting Moore as captain is nuts, maybe one day but has to nail down a place first before that funny how everyone seems to think he will get in a head of Vyner on what basis? Vyner looked great last 2/3 games as RCB I think Vyner will become a favourite this season, much more composed than Moore who I always think looks like he’s got a mistake in him and can be sloppy/out of position.

Baker, IMO, is probably the worst shout for captain. He’s a hot head who is known to get himself into trouble every now and again. He’s also not particularly loud on the pitch, and tends to focus on his own game. That’s not a bad trait, but just isn’t one of a captain.

You need someone who can pull the strings on and off the park who can talk the talk, very adroit at press conferences and who is quite at home being the leader.

Step forward Mark Ashton

Don’t give him ideas, he would probably go full John Terry and put on a football shirt for any photos too ?

Didn't we go through this last season with even an explainer from LJ that captain is basically ceremonial these days, the team leadership is made up of several (leader) pros including ones at younger ages (so TM probably part of that assuming we don't loan him out).

Louis Carey was ours in his final season where he played only enough games to get the record. So long as the players 'always' have a leader on the pitch no matter who is picked is way more important than trying to pick one player as captain who will play all the games.
