ralphindevon
John Fashanu. Cheated to win free kicks then laughed at the crowd when he succeeded. This was during one of the most volatile atmospheres the Gate has seen V Millwall

Swede
Here's somebody different to skeletor; Garth Crooks. I remember going on the "Dunkirk Special" train to the old Victoria Ground in the old First Division days. I really liked their old ground with a stand behind the away terrace section behind the goal and the cavernous home end (Boothen End I think) It was a bog of a pitch as it largely was in those days and I remember him diving for the penalty. As he got up he gave us the cheekiest of grins knowing the Referee couldn't see him. This sparked huge amounts of disorder and vitriol. The penalty was the difference in a close game. Every time I see him on TV I ALWAYS think of that day.

Oh Louie louie
I recall mickey droy acting up, in a home game, i think he was player manager of brentford at the time. In the period of emmanuel, quiet a few players came and went in months. The writing was on the wall for him on his debut.

Barry Sheene
Just a personal thing but two players that were born in England but played for Scotland and over celebrated when they scored against England Don Hutchinson and James Morrison who both scored at Wembley. Yeah, his celebration when scoring for Preston against us was bad enough, but there was also that incident when Flint got sent off - didn’t he provoke Flint and then go down like he had been shot?
