Atyeo's Love Child
As we anticipate a couple more signings in the next week, I thought I’d throw this one out there. Mine was definitely Marcus Stewart, thought he was bound to bang them in on a regular basis, and didn’t anticipate him taking his foot off the pedal and enjoying himself a bit too much with his old mates (if the rumours were true of course). Bob Taylor is GOD
Andy Cole after his loan spell. I didn't think we had a chance in hell of signing him!

TRL
Andy Cole and Evander Sno are the two which stand out for me. Neither I thought would come here. Obviously one on loan then permanently and the other just on loan

hantsred
Bas Savage Andy Cole, David James, Lee Tomilin and the recent trio from Chelsea reserves! I assume the question is very much only about the anticipation before they were brought in rather the reality of once they are here (otherwise remove Tomlin and James!!) Abingdon Red
Scott Murray's return. Ok he never got close to recreating the magic of his super season but it was great to have him back so soon.

Edge1981
There’s been a few. I would go with the OP and say Stewart was the one I was most excited for at the time. I always thought he was on a different level to the other players when he signed but slowly got brought down to their level

Inspirational player who made those around him better, too. Probably the best City player of my lifetime.
RoystonFoote'snephew
There are a number of contenders but one of them is Brian Tinnion. He was a stand out player who had almost god-like status at Bradford. What a signing he proved to be.

ohhhshauntaylor
Bridges and Stewart were PEAK excitement for me- genuinely thought they’d both get 30 goals! As afore mentioned, Trundle, Sno (after seeing that pre season game) and Thorpe.
