I think Dean will be desperate to get off to a winning start, especially with a couple of (Coventry) starters away on international duty.

For players I suggested in my line-up, like Vyner, Moore and Bakinson, they will also be desperate to put in a performance.  Vyner and Moore possibly battling each other for a CB role if we bring in another CB, Bakinson to be involved more, especially if Williams is out for while, and Walsh only just getting “back on the grass”.

The cup games give potential for the likes of Wells to get on the scoresheet and get his confidence up.

There is a week before Coventry, imho, really no need to rest anyone.  Win the game and then worry about a bit of rotation in between Coventry and Stoke in round 2.  Players benefit from minutes in these early games.

I will be disappointed if I see players going through the motions.

Thats my view anyway.
