The cup games give potential for the likes of Wells to get on the scoresheet and get his confidence up. There is a week before Coventry, imho, really no need to rest anyone. Win the game and then worry about a bit of rotation in between Coventry and Stoke in round 2. Players benefit from minutes in these early games.
