GrahamC
Being linked, bit of an odd one. 35 and seemingly covers all the positions Tommy Rowe does?
Dolman_Stand
Cracking player but as OP says only really provides further cover as he wouldn't be ahead of JD at left back or presumably the plethora of midfield options we already, if this is the case it flys in the face of the squad trimming? Davefevs
Doesn’t add up. I just ran his charts....looks brilliant....but the tiny sample of 114 minutes (7 apps) is what I call a data anomaly!!
UREDS_91
Seems to be another Wade Elliott Type signing if true, experience and a dressing room influence. I wouldn't be against it so long as the wages are low and the younger players still get game time.
And Its Smith
Madness if we sign him. Another midfielder and he’s very old. As he signs maybe they could line up all the young players and stick two fingers up to them
Lew-T
No ta. Wealth of experience yes, but not something I want to block the pathway with the likes Walsh, Morrell etc.
ohhhshauntaylor
Walsh, Morrell, Williams, Massengo, Nagy, Bakinson is already 2 too many IMO.

Brunt played a lot of his career as a LB and Left winger, so if his legs still work and he's seen as back up for Jay then I'd welcome it. Would be a good wise head in the dressing room for our younger players to bounce off, plus he knows all about promotion from this league.

I understand that logic...but that’s why we have Tommy Rowe...unless he’s off? (super left foot though)

We have a mega season ahead in terms of fixture congestion during the winter months, as well as the potential for more Covid related upheaval. I think those 6 players covering 2/3 central midfield positions is perfect IMO. You also need to factor in our injury record at the club, so it's more than likely that those 6 easily become 'those 4' given a few knocks with players being out of action. *edit: But if one were to go it would perhaps be Bakinson to a good League 1 club like Pring did. RoystonFoote'snephew
He seems the sort who has looked after himself so neither his age or fitness bother me. Experience would be useful. 'Orns
Cracking player back in the day, but if he's coming in then it suggests one or two are on their way out As the squad stands, I'd find it an odd signing. Phileas Fogg
Would be a good signing I think. We need depth and experience and if he can fill in a variety of positions then I’m all for it. It does seem a bit strange given that this seemed to be the purpose of Rowe, but I think Brunt is a better player than Rowe overall so could be an upgrade.
