Philips playing for England before the prem! Nice to see

Ironic after Southgate made a point of saying he wouldn't pick any player not in the Premier League.

Or maybe that was just an excuse when he was asked why Grealish wasn't playing when in the Championship

Horrendous team, so defensive considering the opposition. Why Pickford again? Pope and Henderson so much better FFS.

Juat shows we have some fantastic talent going forwards, but theres a few positions where we dont have the same quality, such as keeper, centre back and possibly left back.

i kinda have a softspot for denmark, they obviously had laudrup, one of the greatest playmakers of all time, but are always excellent pros, and they produce some really good players.

Dunno about 3 truly defensive minded midfielders bit- Dier the most of them but Phillips though a DM is a strong passing one, Rice I believe can be strong in possession too- can give a nice enough balance.

For another example, see Italy- Jorginho-Verratti (when fit) then one of Sensi, Barella one of them- or maybe two of them when no Verratti or whoever- are any of them a traditional attacking mid? Probably not! Yet they're 16 unbeaten and dominated pretty well every game in that time, possession, chances- you name it. Mancini has a whole new style compared to their (perceived) old style which was more varied than popular opinion would give credit.

Our one worked fine Saturday didn't it? Dominant in most metrics- and won.

3 defensive midfielders. What a joke. Gareth Southgate is clueless, even if he wins this game which he should. We have some of the best attacking players around. Grim.

It’s 352 with coady, dier and Gomes at centre halves. Still 2 defensive midfielders though

Trippier left wing back. Very weird team selection.

Basically just heavily relying on the front 3 to provide something as there's hardly any goals or creativity in midfield.

Might work tonight but better teams will just cut off the supply to the front 3 quite easily.
