Fuber
Id just like us to look genuinely sharp, moving the ball with a bit of pace and pressing off the ball. We havent really had that for almost 3 years. Link to comment
INCRED
Well, we have 45 1/2 games left to improve Link to comment
blockbrowt1
It gets worse Downseys on now. Is LJ still in charge? Have I missed something? Link to comment
samo II
Massengo absolutely bypassed by them - tough job to have to be the single defensive midfielder against this team tbf, but left his man for their goal and is a step behind every time the ball is near. Personally would have someone dropped in to help him, and stop just lumping it up to Fam which just surrendering possession, the little of it we have. Link to comment

Look around him and see why he looks overrun. Weimann and Patterson are non existent. Link to comment
cityexile
Somehow we are level. Coventry playing with some confidence, we are looking completely disfunctional. Too many players having a really bad day at the office, and shape wise all over the place. Ho hum. Link to comment
sh1t_ref_again
What a lot of sh1t - new coach, new tactics= BS, looks like the same clueless no passing and movement, thump it long that we had under LJ Accept that none of the signings are playing and others are out, but can see no style of play, at least it went up to 40% possession at the half Totally dominated at home again, Link to comment

To be fair to him, he's the only one in midfield - Paterson is doing his hiding routine and Weimann isn't a midfielder. Link to comment

The likes of Vyner, Moore and Rowe would only get into the likes of Luton, Barnsley, Wycombe and Rotherham. Hunt is a bottom half championship player. Needs addressing in the transfer window. Sessegnon, Kalas, Mawson and Dasilva should be regulars. We need more quality in depth. Tbf I think you have kind of mentioned we don’t have our first choice out there. Vyner and Moore not taking their chance today. Think Moore looking worse but is on the left. Mawson will be a big upgrade on that side. Link to comment
ReggyRed
Sorry but the LJ bashing needs to stop. This is Dean Holden in charge and this is exactly why I and many others were against an internal appointment. Looks like nothing has changed. Link to comment

Terrible half Ideally he wouldn’t be playing on the left hand side. Presume first choice when Mawson fully fit (while Baker out) would be Moore Kalas Mawson right to left. Wouldn’t be surprised to see that at some point in the second hand in fact. Link to comment
Wrongagain
I keep looking to see if LJ. Is still there, hiding in the wings. mistake on mistake we look like we never played as a team before! Great to see all the new signings!??? Link to comment
Jeez
Clearly doesn’t work playing attacking mids at CM. Sooner DH realises the better. Link to comment
Davefevs
First half summary: What a start. After that, let Coventry pass it. We haven’t got to grips with their “box”, Allen getting free in space 1st 20, and once we sorted that, it meant Hamer got free and started to dictate play. Moore, getting pressed onto his left foot has been poor most of the half. Diedhiou on his heels, looking still like he’s way behind fitness or sharpness at least. Pato finally came deep last 5 minutes as we finally made a few passes. Vyner, Kalas and Bentley the picks for me. Need a big improvement. Link to comment

cityexile
40% possession, 4 shots to 12, at home against a newly promoted side. It ain’t great. Fingers crossed we are better in the second half, we could hardly be worse. Link to comment
RoystonFoote'snephew
Good opening goal but apart from a couple of chances for Famara Coventry have been the better side. Midfield has definitely been the problem. Paterson and Weimann are so advanced upfield there are gaping holes through the muddle which Coventry are exploiting. Massengo is often isolated as both Vyner and Rowe too are advanced pushing on their backs. Half clearances of crosses haven't helped as I've list count of the number of times a Coventry player has run on to the ball on the edge of the box. Need to get the midfield 3 (5) closer to tighten this up. Link to comment
Keepers Ball
Not watching but going by the stats are we playing the same tactics as last season? If so, so much for Holden being his own man. If he doesnt change this quickly, this will bite Lansdown firmly on the arse Link to comment
Dynamite Red
Minus Kalas it looks like a league one defence and we have 3 headless chickens in midfield. No shape or discipline. Link to comment
REDOXO
Well that was pony. Midfield is slow and cant find a pass!! Sigh Link to comment
George Rs
Also annoying as the first goal clearly proves the players have the ability to score pass and break through defences , but because they are being Played out of position it’s hard for them to be able to do that Link to comment
