Robbored Posted September 19, 2020 Report Share Posted September 19, 2020 We had two analysts guest speakers at Senior Reds sometime last year and they were utterly fascinating in describing what’s involved their roles, covering pretty much that’s written in the article. They said they record all the stats throughout a game and can tell when a player is tiring but are not allowed to pass that or any information down to the manager during the match. I assume every Championship and PL clubs have the same type of analysis teams. It’s the modern way and good to know that City have not been left behind. I wonder if Holden and his team are as enthusiastic at using all of those tools as LJ was. Ultimately it didn’t work for him - perhaps it made everything to complicated for the players. Like anything in management you have to try and make tasks as simple as possible.
