Palmer:

  • 86% pass success
  • 4 tackles won
  • 3/4 successful dribbles

Nagy

  • 83% pass success
  • 0 tackles won
  • 1 successful dribbles

Both dispossessed twice.

I'm not saying he's had a good game, but he is playing no worse than anyone else in the team and is at least getting on the ball and trying to make things happen. If that hand ball was given it would be a totally different story.

In this game?

Well I could see him strolling around a lot whilst Nagy is running non stop.

I think he lacks work rate in that box to box role.

No problem with that bloke. Just thought they should bring him off for someone with better energy and work rate.

Apart from the fact that we could've conceded about five

When pushing forward at all times to try and get a goal back in a cup game then that is always going to happen.

Until the third we had been matching Villa in the second half.

This really pisses me off.

Just because two players have uncertain futures and may leave, they "don't want to be on the pitch".

Everyone has bad games, and it sounds like a few others are tonight. But anyone who is rumoured to be leaving suddenly has a bad attitude.

Grow up.

I don't care what you think muggins :)

Lets be honest the same was probably true for us in comparison to Northampton but people were getting very excited over that.

I think this is a good reality check personally.

Weren't our sub strikers against Northampton free transfers?

Nothing worse than busy bees who offer absolutely nothing. People moan about Weimann for running around but at least he makes demonstrable contributions on the pitch.

Id say nothing worse than a player strolling around.

Our wins like last week are largely down to relentless work rate all over the pitch.

Easy for Villa in the end.

Started strongly, got a couple and that was that. Just have to accept they were better than us.

Gave a good number a run out, but think we should have got closer. It is what it is. No real harm done.

Comment was thoroughly deserved based on tonight's showing. No energy from Palmer and slow in possession which combined with poor positioning when receiving the ball meant he was consistently caught in possession. Hugely disappointing as this was another good opportunity for him to show what he's about.
