ExiledAjax
Utds defence is just atrocious. 10 men or 11 it's been awful. We saw better in our league 1 years.

RoystonFoote'snephew
43 minutes ago, Taz said: Agree on both counts. They will never win anything with that backline. De Gea looks void of any confidence and has so many errors in him - it's like he's regressed to how he was when he first came to England. Between the centre backs, if you could combine all of them you have one pretty good defender. Maguire is the best one there, but his head still seems like it's in Greece.... As for that red card, Martial has no complaints. You can't raise your hands and expect to get away with it. What I don't understand, is that after VAR checked the incident, how the Spurs player hasn't gone as well I don't know. Looked like he made more contact with Martial! With examples like that, and all these farcical handball decisions being given, it kind of makes you glad we aren't playing in the Prem (money aside). Wouldn't surprise me if Solskjaer got the boot after this - beaten so easily by Jose, and with his recent comments about transfer activities, it doesn't bode well for him. Once again the retaliator gets punished while the instigator gets off Scott free. First Lamela gives Martial a slap with all the strength a 3 year old could muster, then Martial returns with another slap of 3 year old proportions which sends Lamela to the ground in stages once he thought it might get Martial into trouble. The referee should have given them both a yellow with a strong word about behaving like men rather than toddlers. But if he was going the red card route they should both of gone (Martial once for a silly slap, and Lamela twice for a silly slap and embarrassing acting) . Presumably the VAR d**khead for this match (Andre Marriner?) was asleep while all this was going on.

Constantly out of position, no attacking threat, then that tackle. Awful, genuinely a 1/10 performance.

Maltshoveller
The defending in the premier league this season so far has been shocking How much longer are managers going to keep asking their teams to play out from the back at all costs? OldlandReddies
Think teams have found out Liverpool this season. No longer scared of them. Go for their throats. Leeds took them apart but unfortunately forgot to defend. Villa have made them look stupid defensively but have defended better themselves. A crazy days football.
