Well Pheck Me!!.......we ARE top of the league.  Any of you stats freaks know when this last occured?

If by League we mean the entire football league, then it would have been for a short spell in the 1906/07 season when we ended up second.

If  you mean the EFL since the prem broke away, possibly a week or two in 2007/08 before dropping to the P/Os.

We went top after beating Cardiff in the season we were relegated.

What about whoever it was who played on the Friday night/Saturday lunchtime?

Watford won 1-0, so as soon as we took the lead, we'd have been top on alphabetical again 😉👍

We're second because Reading have scored more away goals.
Away goals is the next tie-breaker if goal difference, then goals scored, is equal.

No its not. Its the record in the games between the 2 clubs tied, that season.

Obviously that's not yet relevant this season, but that's the next deciding factor, before away goals scored comes into play.

Yes ok. Away goals is the next (relevant) tie breaker

Yes, it seems so, although the league rule wording for these later diciders is worded as being at the end of the season.

I think Alphabetical is far fairer at this stage of the season..! 😉👍

The crazy thing is that we have won all 3 games and our next 3 opponents have a combined 0 wins between them!

What an opportunity.

Oh no... you realise we’re still Bristol city right? You know how those 3 games will end 👀

Yeah and it ties in with the football gods thread. They're just trying to torment us, aren't they...?!
