Why?

Where have all the haters and doubters gone?

Is everyone still hungover after four wins from four?

Why aren’t there 537 threads about Delano being the best head coach since Lee Johnson?

COME ON.

Let’s celebrate ?!!!

Because we’re Bristol City and this might be as good as it gets!

4 games, we have had some excellent hard fought wins but there is absolutely nothing to get carried away about yet.

Holden has done very well, been brave in continuing with the same formation from his 5 caretaker games & also for his faith in Vyner, Bakinson & Semenyo.

However the season isn’t even 9% through..

Personally finding it pretty difficult to get too excited about it given the current situation and not being able to feel involved by being at the games supporting and I suspect there’s plenty of folk that feel the same.  Long may the excellent run continue though of course, it’s an incredible start, but I just feel quite detached from it as it stands.

We’ve done well. 4 wins from 4 is magnificent.

But I haven’t seen the signs yet that we’ll be in for a sustained assault on the top two. The wins against Forest and Coventry and Wednesday to a degree had their fair share of luck.

The exciting part isn’t necessarily the wins, but there are glimpses of what DH is trying to do, there are green shoots of recovery. The season isn’t very old, but hopefully we can continue in the same vein and, with a couple of quality players to return from injury (who arguably are due to compete for a place in the team with our stand out player) then I’m hoping things will carry on in the upward trajectory since LJ left.

So whereas I’ve have snapped your hand off for 7 points from 4 games, I’m not going to get carried away just yet.

Let's get a few more games under the collective belt..

Fixtures are; Swansea,, Bournemouth & Norwich in the space of eight days toward the end of this month.....

We can take a more realistic look then.

The good thing is that Joe Williams and Liam Walsh will be a huge boost to the team when fit, and can add another dimension to our midfield that can see us push on even further. Having a fully fit and on form Kalas will make the world of difference too, as we perhaps haven’t seen that since he played consistently alongside Webster.

Morrell is a funny one, hoping all is right with him and how he feels about his role in the squad this season. Fam looks like he’ll maybe stay, which is good and he’ll have a role to play as the season progresses. Top 2 will probably be out of our reach come the end of the campaign, but I see this team as having a genuine chance of solving that 2nd half of season syndrome, with enough to see us right in the mix for top 6 come May.

Ouch. But let’s not underestimate Barnsley either.

from the three games you’ve listed above, I’d gladly take 4 points.

I have to say it is getting quite annoying now as I've had the bedsheet crayoned in with "Deano out" for some time now.  Still stuck in the attic...

Seriously, I don't think people can get too excited yet.  It's the perfect start (and that is exciting) but it's only 4 games against (currently) lower half teams.

If we are near the same position come 1st November, then it really will be time to get excited.

What you been looking at on the net fella? ??

Classic. Spell check. Maybe Delano is a way better nickname, than Deano’s, Chinos, Casinos...(credit #OSIB)

I’m not suggesting that we get carried away.

Rather let’s celebrate what we’ve done so far.

We will lose soon enough. Unless Deano is the Championship version of Klopp. ?

Good start yes, but we are still making the same mistakes we were under johnson, defending remains a massive concern,

Positive signs for sure but yesterday could of easily been 5-2 with out Bentley's heroics,

Hopefully given time the new coaching team will sort it

Not sure it was your intention, but evidently the doubters are still here! Just need a visit from @Dog and the glass will be well and truly half empty!

Did you have "Dicks out" on your bedsheets when you were a youngster?  :shocking:

I'm much the same - loving the start but feeling detached from it. Think I might need to start watching some games via Robins TV to get into it more.

An absolutely great start to the season, no question.

What's hilarious though is the number of OTIB posters who seem to have achieved a first class honours degree in Hindsight.

Deano has made a great start. Plenty of posters, myself included, have suggested that humble pie is definitely on the menu.

It does amaze me though seeing the number of people creating "where are the moaners now posts?" who were also not promoting Deano as their pick for manager prior to his appointment. Funny that.
