RedNachos
Well, the Dunder era is officially over. Ridiclous name but looked better on the kits than some Chinese shit like Southampton and Wolves have. Goodbye our Sweedish sponsor.
BRISTOL86
Would very much like to see us buck the trend of the betting bandwagon in favour of something local.
Lrrr
Depends if people would get the same hump over alcohol sponsorship as betting as I'd say Thatchers would be nice to have given they're a more local company.

054123
It’ll be interesting to see how it goes. If we knew Dunder were reaching the end of their contract, we probably had others lined up. I wonder if COVID has had an influence, hence while we’re ‘still negotiating’

Silvio Dante
Can I just point out that last Friday there were drones at AG, which were to film the kit launch. On the basis we’ve filmed the kit launch, then isn’t it the case that the sponsor is already decided. Or is that far too logical?
Baba Yaga
I didn't mind Dunder, looked ok on the shirts and while their product is not great it was very discreet compared to most of the other betting companies.

Glad to see the end of the silly Dunder name on shirts. You'd think some marketing guy might've told the Swedes behind it that Dunder has negative connotations in English, and if the UK was a bigger market for them than their home country why not call the firm "Thunder" . [dunder is Swedish for thunder]

vicky10
Has it not been flagged in the press that like Tobacco advertising - Betting adverts will be banned in the not too distant future, therefore making the move before it is made illegal ? RedRoss
Probably unpopular idea but I couldn't care. Whoever pays the most. Don't care if that's morally accepted (betting/alcohol) or local, national or international companies.

2015
I liked the Lancer Scott sponsor on the 17/18 kits. Probably the best kit we have had for many a year though.
sephjnr
I don't want another betting firm, and I'd rather not have anything owned by Red Trousers if they're thinking local. I'd ******* love Oowee, but that's a 0.00001% possibility.

Loco Rojo
Why would some people on this thread not want a sponsor? It's money for the club which is impacted at the moment. No shirt sponsor = reduced income!?!? Baffles me.
Port Said Red
Bristol Energy! Seriously though, Marketing spend will be down globally so you would imagine getting a lucrative deal will be hard. I think the problem for local companies like Thatchers would be that they don't want to be seen as taking sides, so would have to treat the gas similarly? It would be good to see us promoting a green energy supplier or something similar.

Mendip City
I’ve no idea how much/little income short sponsors generate these days but ideally I’d not have one. or we could do something less corporate like Hibs..... also nice bit of purple and green on their away kit....
