A tenth of the season gone - your five positives.

Early days of course but lots of positives to enjoy. Let’s see what everybody has as their top five positives after five games.....mine are:

1. Deano. He has spoken and acted impeccably since his appointment was announced

2 Keeping things simple. A much more settled team, set up and style, all are paying dividends

3. Young ‘uns. The emergence of TB, ZV, AS, MO’L, TM

4 Transfer window. We had a great window, adding leadership and experience, while appropriately moving players on

5. Being unbeaten and almost making it five wins from five!

What are your top five positives?

1. We’re picking up points despite not always playing well (huge sign of things to come)

2. everyone seems to know wtf their job is / the game plan is

3. even when on the back foot or losing we’re showing the desire to win which was lacking last season

4. Chris Martin - nailed on player of the season if he carries on like this. And cost us nuffink.

5. goals coming from all parts of the squad, not just our strikers. Again a very good sign for the rest of the season.

  1. 5.4 shots on target per game, joint second in the league for that stat and a huge increase on 3.3 per game last season.
  2. Allowing only 3.4 shots on target per match. Down from 4.6 last season.
  3. 50% of all our shots have been on target. Improvement on last season when we were on 32%.
  4. Maintenance of last season's efficiency in front of goal. Scoring with, on average, every 6th shot we take. This is very very good and we are second only to Reading, and well ahead of Bournemouth in 3rd for this stat.
  5. Holden's honest approach to both fans and players. No nonsense and admits failures. It's refreshing.

1. Almost a quarter of the way to the 50 point mark, which I was nervous about when Holden took over
2. Bakinson and Martin, as others have pointed out + academy players starting regularly
3. More consistent first team than under Johnson
4. Kalas to come back
5. Football keeping my mind (partially) off of coronavirus

1) not being ripped off by burger kitchen van by the Landsdown. My boys always tap me up for a burger each. Basically fried rubber costing £5 a pop.

2) DH surprising the vast majority. Has taken to life in management with ease

3) Bakinson, Moore, Semenyo. Excellent to see three young lads in the team

4) Martin - and our general "nastier" approach

5) Paul Simpson. Really enjoyed listening to him. He brings so much experience to the club.

1) A clear, understandable, and coherent plan on how we want to play.

2) Early recruitment matching the system and style that fills our needs.

3) Selection based on performance not price or personality.

4) In game tactical solutions and visible player improvement.

5) An edge and attitude to the play.
