Is it rotten luck, though? Afobe had crocked both knees before coming to us, Mawson had two ACLs as well. There’s a huge risk taking players on big wages for a season when they’ve had those serious injuries. Going back to GJ’s era, Velicka was the same. City shouldn’t be a rehab unit for crocked players. Hopefully Mawson’s injury isn’t too bad but it doesn’t look good.

Given the injury record of our 3 experienced centre halves it's hardly an outrageous suggestion.

I still strongly question not having Nagy on the bench.

Not having him, especially when Weimann and Pato are poor, i.e. now, as an option to link play is mad. We need movement in the middle.

With Mawson haven't we brought that on ourselves by signing him it was always going to happen especially with his knee he's been fantastic so far but now leaves us on thin ice with centre backs.
